Visit to Ecoland: Brendan Wintle from the Center of Excellence for Environmental Decisions (Australia)
Brendan Wintle from the University of Melbourne and the Center of Excellence for Environmental Decisions in Australia will spend some weeks with us at the CTFC during May-June 2012.
He is an ecologist, Senior Lecturer and ARC Future Fellow. Brendan is interested in uncertainty and environmental decision making. He is the Deputy Director of a Commonwealth Government funded research hub: Environmental Decisions, and I’m a theme leader in the ARC Centre of Excellence for Environmental Decisions. Brendan publishes on technical and policy issues around conservation and natural resource management, including optimal conservation investment, optimal monitoring and adaptive management, systematic conservation planning, population viability analysis, and habitat modelling and mapping.
